PlaggerでVALUE-DOMAIN+XREA.COMの独自ドメインメールでのSMTP送信

PlaggerでBloglinesからGmailに記事を送信するのに、VALUE-DOMAIN+XREA.COMの独自ドメインメールを使うようにしたところ、時々下記エラーが起きてしょぼんな事になる。

Plagger::Plugin::Publish::Gmail [error] Error while sending emails: SMTP recipient() command failed:
sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

XREAのサポートBBSに解決策があったが、先にPOP受信をかます必要があるらしい。
送信ができません（受信は可能） [Archive] - XREA&CORE SUPPORT BOARD

というか、Plaggerで送受信とか失敗した場合でも、Bloglinesの該当記事を未読のまま保持したい場合はどうすりゃいいのだろうか。。。
